This policy covers the Cub Scout Pack 537 check-in POC operated by Michael Williams, Cubmaster.
Information we collect
The application stores guardian contact details, scouts’ names and dens, meeting attendance, and guest scouts’ school grades. SMS sign-in uses a guardian’s mobile number. A secure browser cookie keeps a signed-in session, and temporary request counters help limit abuse.
How information is used
Information is used for authentication, meeting attendance, and pack-leader follow-up with visitors. Parent and scout details are not published. Leaders can view attendance and guest contact details.
Mobile information, SMS consent, and opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties. When enabled, messages will be delivered through AWS Notify. AWS does not share end user phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We retain consent records including phone number, acceptance time, and disclosure version. AWS processes information to host the service and deliver requested texts.
Retention and requests
Sample sessions expire after 24 hours; sample records are scheduled for deletion afterward. Live sessions may last up to 180 days. Live roster and attendance records remain until removed by the operator. Contact Michael Williams at mikey.williams@me.com to request correction or deletion.
